Librarian - LHS

 

Professional Educator License with Library / Library Media Specialist endorsement required

 

Responsibilities: 

• Co-teach lessons with teachers across different content areas on skills in research, writing, and media literacy
• Collaborate with the Library Educational Support Staff to plan for daily management of schedule and tasks
• Create and implement library programming, including activities in our Makerspace 
• Manage the library budget
• Work with local public library to provide access to resources and programming
• Ensures library, school, and district policies and procedures are upheld
• Supervises students accessing library facilities and materials
• Provides expertise in the selection, acquisition, evaluation, and organization (including cataloging) of information resources and technologies in multiple formats
• Understands copyright, fair use, and licensing of intellectual property, and assists users with their understanding and observance of the same 
• Arranges flexible scheduling of the school library’s facilities to provide student and staff accessibility
